Jones July Update!

Well it is July already and the we are doing great!
Update on pregnancy: I am in my 2nd trimester at 14 weeks prego. I am due on Jan 11th 2011. I will have a planned c-section a week or two prior due date. We are waiting until I deliver to find out what gender the baby is. We would be extremely happy with either gender ;)
I still get a little nausa in evening or if I smell anything bad. Other then that I have found that if I keep busy during the day, go on a walk to the park or walk around the zoo (or both!), I am less tired and happier.
Liam is a crazy ball of energy. He is crawling, standing up using something (like a chair) to help him stand, but also can walk along a wall using his hands to keep his balance. We suspect he will be walking very soon. Half the time it is a little hard to get him to sleep, but once he does he sleeps through the night (about 9hrs). So Liam usually takes a bath in the bathtub, but the freakin gas company accidentally shut our gas off (long story). It will be back on tommorow but our water tank uses gas to heat the water, soooo the only way to give Liam a bath today was to heat up water in the microwave and fill up the sink. He is tooo big for this (I and the kitchen got VERY wet). But he is now clean for today.
He eats solid foods now and eats almost all the food variety we offer him when he is hungry.
We have been going to the Zoo on a weekly basis. Liam doesn't really care about the animals but more interested in all the other babies and kids there. I have a pass that comes with a guest pass, so if anyone out there would like to join us one day let me know!
This is a day at the zoo with auntie nicole

We went to Lincoln City last weekend. It was a nice break from that extreme heat we had in Portland. It was in the 70s with a little wind so it was very refreshing.

This was the first time we put Liam's toes in the sand. He just looked at his feet in the sand with a confused face. Also he was distracted by a remote control car a kid was driving around that made a loud buzzing noise...he's such a boy.

A couple times he would look at the ocean and purse his lips together and make an "oooo" sound.

I'm sure we will visit the ocean again real soon.

We took Liam to Multnomah Falls on July 3rd. It was packed with tourist. We still pushed our way through to the falls and liam LOVED the water. He just starred at it making that "oooo" sound.
It was a nice day there.
We put this hat on him at in the gift shop, he looks like he's ready to hunt.
As always hope every one is doing good.

6 month and a Surprise!

Liam is now 6 months old! He is basically sitting up by himself, crawling backwards, and sometimes to stand alone if he is holding onto something. He sqauks like crazy and is generally a happy little baby.
This pic above is what liam does all the time when he gets excited. He smiles really wide, sucks in a bunch of air, sticks his chin up, puts his arms straight out and squaks really loud. He does almost every time Matt gets home from work.

Bath time! He has a blast in the bath. He tries to grab all the bubbles floating around him.
Time to get some sun!
We visited Matts bro Kevin, his wife Tanya (in pic) and niece Bella in Seattle the other weekend. Here we are on a ferry ride.

Okay the big SURPRISE is that Matt and I are pregnant AGAIN! I know, its crazy. This wasn't planned but we are still excited. I am still in the very beginning, 6 weeks along (morning sickness) and the delivery date is I think in Jan. I will know a little more at my next doc appt.
I think we will just wait and see what the gender of baby is the day he/she is delivered.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Love, Vanessa, Matthew, and Liam.

Easter, Astoria, and Zoo!

Liam has been on some big adventures lately with his mommy and daddy. We had Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's house, traveled to Astoria and visited the Maritime Museum, and spent today at the zoo! I have a feeling there will be alot more adventures this summer with the sunny weather!
Easter morning! Liam woke up to his bunny Easter basket full of little stuffed animals, one being a "My First Snoopy" doggie. He loves that thing.

Cousin Bella was visiting and tried on Liam's bunny outfit, what a cutie.

Yes I did put my son in a bunny outfit! Here he is sitting next to his cousin Sam at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Don't their faces scream "Happy Easter!" Boys will be boys.

Lovin it!

Uncle Stephen and Aunt Chrissi hangin out with their bunny nephew, I can Stephen is jealous he doesn't get to where a bunny outfit...next year Steve-o!

He is soooo flippin big for a 5 month old bunny!

Mmmmmm Easter Turkey made by Grandpa Dave! It tasted as good as it looks!
Funny Story: On Good Friday (Friday before Easter) Liam went to Easter Service at Grandma and Grandpa's church. He was asleep so Gramda left him in the "sound proof" nursery. Well after about 20 minutes, Liam woke up with rage! He screamed soooo loud, and nobody could get him to stop crying that Grandma was asked to leave because his screaming was intrupting church service. Must have been his teething pain, poor baby.

Here we are in Astoria! It was such nice weather, sunny with no wind, very rare for Astoria in April. I have never been to the Maritime Museum but Matt suggested it and thought Liam would enjoy it. It was actually really interesting.

Mommy and baby getting some grub.

We toured a big ship but to get into the ship we had to climb down stairs that where completely vertical, so we took turns and held Liam on the top of the ship. I kinda got a little sick walking in the tight narrow hallways in the ship...I would do horrible at sea. Liam loved it though.

What a happy baby. "I'm on a boat!"
Matt came up to the top of the boat just in time for me to give him Liam, my arms were jello.
Walking through the Museum, very interesting artifacts and pictures. Here is Matt and Liam on a replica of a ship.

Bottle time! Liam is actually really easy to travel with. He doesn't cry much and is pretty good natured. He loves going to new places, I can see it in the face.

Daddy kisses on baby face. When Liam tries to suck on Matt's nose or cheek, Matt will make kissy noises on Liam's cheek, Liam laughs and laughs.

Today was such a nice day outside we decided to go to the zoo! Nicole, Liam and I met up with Tanya, Will, and Sam. We ate some snacks in the grass and visited the animals. Here Liam is trying to grab Will's face.

Liam would not look at the camera, he was so into playing with Will. Sam is just kickin it.

What a good looking group of kids...and mommies ;)
Matt and I are so gratefull for Liam adorable little face. He makes us smile all the time. Liam's outfit (including hat) compliments of his cousin Braidyn.
Checkin out the Lions. They were sun bathing on the big rocks. They seem so close, like if they wanted they could jump right over the fence. I tried to talk Will into running back and forth to get their attention but he didn't want to. Oh well, the Lions were cool to see anyway.
Getting some food with Auntie Nicole. Liam wanted everything on both our plates.

Hangin out with Auntie Nicole at the zoo. They are best zoo buddies.

Sam is sooooo cute. I just wanna grab his chubby cheeks and give him a big kiss!
A sunny day at the zoo can really make you tired after a while.

Ha! Its like Will's head is on the body of Sam. Hilarious.

Happy baby just hangin out at home with mama.
He is practicing to be a model, pop the collar.
Sporting his Luck shirt
This is Liam 9 times outa 10 when I try to change his diaper, he always is sucking on his foot and won't let me get his foot back into his clothes.
Here is a link to a video of Liam "talking" about what chores he will and will not do.
Enjoy.

First Beach Trip!

We headed to Seaside Beach last Saturday for Liam's first beach trip! It was sooo nice there, the weather was perfect. The wind was warm and it wasn't as crowded as we thought it wouls be. Liam focused on the ocean only a few times but his eye got really big.
Matt took him closer to the water. We didn't want to put him in the dirty sand just yet, maybe next time.
We walked along the Seaside main street with all the local shops. Liam was in an umbrella stroller most of the time, he seemed to like watching all the other people walking around.

Here are links to 2 videos from that day

It was so beautiful outside we decided to drive back through Astoria. We had a mini baby photo shoot at one stop.
Liam & mommy. I think he looks alot like Matt right now. So cute.

Still no crawling but lots of tummy time.
Here is he saying, "Dad I'm so excited to go to the beach!"
Liam is sporting these sweet sunglasses, from his cousin Braidyn Goetchius. As well as this fabulous guitar shirt from his Aunt Tanya & Uncle Kevin Jones.

What a happy little kid. This in one of the cute shops at Seaside. I think he knows when to smile when a camera is pointed at him.

This is from today!
