39 Week Appt

Okay last night I went to hospital because my I felt like I was having a Braxton Hicks contraction for an hour straight! In the hospital elevator I asked Matt to feel my stomach and it was still tight, then when I got in a room the nurse check me and of course my stomach wasn't tight anymore. grrrrrr. My doctor was actually their on call so he came in to do a routine checkup and I am only still at 1cm dialated. And the baby turned over, meaning his face is looking up, which can cause terrible back labor, so I'm hoping he flips back around before real labor begins.

My doctor set an induction date for Nov. 8th if needed, and today at my 39 week regular appt, I was still the same stats, so they scheduled a 40 week appt for next Tuesday.

I feel like Liam is close but still sooooo far away from him arriving. It must be because everything is set up for him here and I'm just bored.
("bored, bored, bored" as my mom would say)

Matt and I got Maternity Pics taken at 36 weeks by a local college student, she is now just finishing them, here are some I got in an email, the rest are being mailed on a CD.

Here is more proof that everything is ready for baby to come out! I will email these to Liam, I wonder what kind of internet speed he gets in there?

His bath time area is ready! Got all his hooded towels to hanging up that will keep him nice and warm. And a bath caddy holding all the fun bath toys he got at the baby shower.

Also the swing has new batteries in it, and Pooh Bear and Sea Horse are awaiting their new owner, Liam to cuddle them in it!

Come out baby!

Nursery COMPLETE! Lots of Pictures!

Home made Closet Dividers Left Side of Closet containing burp cloths, bibs, socks, shoes, hats, 12m clothes, tag blankies, and pacifiers! This baby has got it good already...
Right side of closet, clothes NB - 9m, and basket with NB socks/shoes.

I wanted a Baby Winnie the Pooh Theme, so this is my attempt at drawing and painting baby Tiger, Piglet, and Pooh Bear. Matt helped paint the log.
Tiger was a tough to find the right colors, but I think he's my favorite.
Baby Piglet, he was fun the paint.
Baby Pooh Bear, asleep - hopefully Liam will do the same.
Baby Pooh #2 eating, this bear took forever to draw & paint because it was above my head and my hands/arms kept falling asleep.
Changing Table & Mobile.
Matt and I both painted this giant tree then added wooden leaves, painted green & this caterpillar.
Baby basket full of NB socks/shoes and below holds 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 clothes bottoms.
I found this wooden sign on sale for $3 with hooks already in it that said somthing about how recycling, so I bought it, painted over it, added quote and Bees.
Quote says, "I think some people care too much, I think it's called love." - Winnie the Pooh.
Inside Crib.
Crib shot with big tree we painted. It was fun to paint the tree, because I'm more cartoonish of a drawer and Matt wanted to make it more realistic looking, so this is what it ended up looking like.
Thats it for the nursery!
Next post will be Tuesday after my 39week doctor appt! Sooo close.

38 Week Doc Appt!

Well this morning I woke up with a nose bleed, so I was hoping it was a sign that baby was closer to coming out. At the doc appt they checked me and I was 1-2cm dialated! Yeah! He also said babies head is very low and his heart rate was crazy loud at 160. Doc said 160 is at the high end of normal for his stage, but nothing to be concerned about. I still can't feel any contractions, hopefully my water will break or some other pre-labor symptom happens to let me know that baby is coming out!

My hospital bag is ready next to the door, all the baby bottles are washed and put away, and the nursery is almost done (I keep adding stuff to the walls, nesting instincts on overdrive).

Baby Liam is on the way! (Matt gave him his 2 week eviction notice yesterday)

37 Weeks - Full Term!

Laim has to check his emails, and do some online banking so its not backed up when he arrives.

I am now 37 weeks, which means Full Term! So baby can come out at any time and be fully developed. He is suppose to be around 6 1/2 lbs, open his eyes when he's awake, practice breathing, and turns his head towards sounds. Its really an interesting concept to think that he knows matt's and my voice, and the only communication that is two-way is "feeling" eachother. I can feel Liam when he moves and he can feel us when we rub my belly.

At my 37 week doctor appt, baby heart rate was 140-which is good, am negative for strep B, and the "door" is still close. Next appt is Tuesday!

My mom was sick last weekend so she couldn't make it with the painting crew to paint the nursery, so this week I've been stenciling some Baby Winnie the Pooh characters on the walls. Painting them isn't done yet, but as soon as it is, I will post a billion pictures of the nursery. Here is a sneak peek of whats done so far.

Below is the cutest giraffe stuffed animal I have ever seen, I had to get it. He plays slow lullaby while his neck rocks slowing back and forth, makes me sleepy. Hopefully it will have that effect on Liam too. I used a gift card that I received from my grandma for the baby shower. Thanks grandma!

Below giraffe is all the flannel recieving blankies (wash, rolled and ready to go!) that I also recieved at the baby shower from Kara and Auntie Tanya, thanks guys!
Update on me - I can no longer put socks on, or shoes, or tie my shoes so Matt gets to do all that. I think there is the beginning of a strech mark on my belly ( Nooooo! ) so I've been useing stretch mark lotion non stop. Still feeling pressure on my pelvic bone from Liam and his foot keeps sticking out of my right side. Sleeping lots, and crave anything with Nutella spread on it. mmmmm.

I couldn't pass up this Christmas green and red yarn at the store. Its soo soft and makes me want Christmas to get here! I'm makin a blanky out of it.

36 Week Update!

*36 Weeks!!*

Laim is constantly moving and since he hasn't "dropped" yet he climbs up on my lungs. Here is a picture of how he warps my belly. When this happens I ask Matt if he can tell where he is.

Doctor appointment went good, I will get my Strep B results at my next appt. on Monday, babie's heart rate was strong at 150, and he is still head down. We drove pass the actually hospital (which is across the street from the clinic) and figured out what parking lot to park in and what entrance to take.

We checked out a consignment expo up here and found a size 3-6 month pair of Baby Carhartts which looks exactly like the pair Matt wears to work everyday. They are so freakin adorable. I have to find some soft baby tools for Liam to play with when he wears them.

I finally washed Matt's Winnie the Pooh Bear that he played with when he was a baby. I'm going to make him a little red shirt, and fix his mouth. Liam is going to drool all over this guy.

Also picked up a stuffed soccer ball for his crib. From his hard kicks I feel in my belly, I'm sure he will be an awesome soccer player.

*A Pregnant Women's Best Friend* Since I am having a tough time sleeping, we found this recliner for me. It is soooo comfortable, it reclines and swivels. This will be where I sleep until Liam arrives. I actually got stuck on my side (facing the couch) and couldn't flip to the other side last night! I think it was a combo of really tired/weak and how the couch dips back.

We are still getting apartment together, but Matt has finished his bathroom. His bathroom is equiped with an Ireland flag, a Dublin flag, and a Blazer Rudy Player Bobbel Head.

Next Doc Appt is Monday, and we will ask Doc if it is okay to travel back to Portland for the following week.

Oh and I told baby not to try to come out in the next 5 days because his Auntie Tanya will be in San Diego.

Thanks For All the Baby Stuff!

Stupid Pinata!
*12 hours of labor*

We got so much great baby stuff at the shower, Liam is gonna love it all! I can't wait to put Liam in all his cute tiny clothes.

Trying to nursery set up - Still a work in progress -Can't wait for my mom, chrissi and stephen come paint it! Yes, that is the Ireland blanky I crochet on the crib. And yes that hamper is full of clean new baby clothes that needs to be put away.

Apartment is sill getting set up, lots of boxes to go through. But thanks to Nicole the kitchen is done! So many flippin dishes. Thanks friend! Hopefully over the weekend we will get more stuff unpacked and organized. Liam is still moving like crazy, he really wants out! Here is the latest belly shot. He is growing fast and likes to bunch up at the top of my belly where I feel like I have to literally carry my belly because its so heavy. Still stretch mark free (crossing fingers). But my navel is completely flat, I banking on it going back the way it was.

I now have a doctor appointment every week until our little guy arrives! So I will create a new post on here every week to update everyone on the latest.
