First Trip To The Zoo!

Liam's first trip to the Oregon Zoo went great! We were there for about 2 hours and he stayed awake the entire time. We met up with Tanya (Aunt), Will (Cousin), and Sam (Cousin).

Yes, Liam LOVES the Baby Bjorn Carrier that Matt is wearing. But sad news is is that Liam is basically too big for it now! His head is pretty stable but not stable enough for those backpack carriers so we will have to figure something else out until then.

This picture cracks me up. Obviously Liam didn't expect the flash...neither did I, the stupid flash covered up the penguin on the rock! Dangit! Oh well, he looks funny any ways.

Well Sam's eyes closed the minute we stepped into the zoo. Sam has been to the zoo before so I guess he thought it would nap this one out. This picture was taken waiting in line for an elephant ear....mmmmm it was delicous.

The new Predator Exhibit was open! It was awesome to see all the lions hanging out and not hidding in a cave like the old exhibit.

Ya Polar Bears! My favorite exhibit! One bear actually was playing right next to the glass, Liam just starred at it, sucking on his pacifier.

I bet we will return to the zoo for many more adventures.

Here is Cousin Bella and Liam side by side. Liam is coming up on 4 months and Bella is turning 2 years in April. Liam is trying to grow fast so he can play with his cousin. Liam now wears 6 month tops and 9 month pants (his legs are really long).

Happy baby. Matt's magic trick is that he can always make Liam smile and laugh usually no matter what mood Liam is in...mommies trick is getting baby to fall asleep ;)

Liam currently is in a pretty good mood from day to day. Sleeping through the nights, and only on occaison needs a "sugar bink." He did start screaming yesterday and Jill (our cat) came running through the room and jumped on couch next to him looking all concerned. I think Liam and Jill have an unspoken understanding.

Here is Liam checking out some houses for rent with his daddy, I think he likes this one. Matt's currently has a part time electrical job, still hoping for that Boeing job.

Liam has been watching the Winter Olympics almost every night. I think this was taking watching speed skating....such a nail biter

So Liam is starting to want to put stuff in his mouth, but his hand eye coordination isn't 100% yet so he can't really pick stuff up and put it in his mouth. Matt was holding him and Liam open his mouth and leaned in towards Matt's face and started sucking on Matt's cheek! It was soo funny because Liam makes funny sounds. Funny

Liam hanging out with his cousin Sam. I can already tell they are gonna have great adventures together as they grow up.

Liam was born Nov.7th, Sam was born Dec.24th, what a difference in size. Sam was swinging his arm and Liam was trying to grab it with his mouth, silly babies.

Liam got a plush doggy for Valentines Day from his Great Aunt Anne, the first thing he did with it was try to put it in his mouth, now he takes his puppy "Yelps" everywhere he goes. He actually fell asleep on couch and his head was laying on Yelps, it was really adorable.

Getting there, closer and closer to crawling...Liam can hold himself up on his belly but no crawling yet.

So serious looking! Aunt Tanya (Jones) got him this sweet teddy bear pjs. He liked it alot, so did mommy and daddy because it actually makes him look a little smaller.

This kid has got a BIG head. I had to force this hat on him...he wasn't pleased about it.

Well this hat fit him!

3 Months

Liam is now over 3 months old!!! Geez that was fast. He weighs about 18lbs and is 26inches long! He is in the 100% for his age, which means he is the tallest and heaviest for his age. He smiles a bunch and is laughing way more!

Liam and grandpa watching the Super Bowl... Liam actually slept through most of the game, he would wake up when grandpa and Uncle Nathan would yell and scream at the game.

Little man watching his bug mobile...by the way the BUG MOBILE BROKE!! I know! It broke in mid chime, just stopped working. Lame! So we went out and got another one with Winnie the Pooh Characters and a different song. He is getting used to it, but I think he wants his bugs.
